According to Ontario Labour Market information, the total number of job openings during 2024 2028 period are projected to be: 14,600. The projected job openings will come from replacement jobs from retirement, death and emigration and new jobs. The ratio of replacement and new jobs will be 51% and 49% respectively. More jobs in the category of ECEs and ECAS will be new (49%) in comparison to all occupations where only 38% jobs will be new.
