Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program

Train for a career as a Personal Support Worker with practical healthcare training and clinical placement experience at Toronto Academy of Education.

Medical Office Assistant Diploma Program

Prepare for an entry-level career in healthcare administration with practical training in medical office procedures, communication, clinical support and office technology.

Dietary Food Service Worker (DFSW) Program

Build practical skills in food safety, nutrition, quantity food preparation, communication, and resident-focused dietary service for health care and long-term care settings.

What programs does Toronto Academy of Education offer?

We offer diploma and certificate programs in healthcare and early childhood education, including Personal Support Worker (PSW), Medical Office Assistant (MOA), Home Support Worker (HSW), Dietary Food Service Worker (DFSW), Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) and Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) plus French language TEF/TEFAQ exam prep, NCLEX-RN/REx-PN exam preparation, and Standard First Aid, BLS and N95 Mask Fit certification and other Skills Training.

Can I study online at Toronto Academy of Education?

Yes. Programs are delivered online, in person at our Mississauga campus, or in hybrid mode, with flexible schedules designed around work and family commitments. Students access coursework through our E-Learning portal.

What are the admission requirements?

Requirements vary by program and are listed on each program page. Most diploma programs require an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or qualification as a mature student. Some healthcare programs also require a police vigilance check, immunization records, and CPR certification before placement.

How long do the programs take to complete?

Program length varies depending on the course or program you choose. Some programs may take a few months to complete, while others may be longer. The exact duration is listed on each individual program page.

Does Toronto Academy of Education offer job placement?

Toronto Academy of Education does not guarantee employment. We support students through career guidance, hiring events, employer connections, and placement coordination where applicable.

Who teaches the programs?

Our instructors are professionally qualified experts working in the industries they teach. The Academy is also guided by an Advisory Board of senior professionals in education, childcare, immigration and engineering.
