At the Toronto Academy of Education, we are dedicated to helping aspiring power engineers pass their Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) operating engineer exams, enabling them to start or advance their careers in the high demand field of the power engineering.
Our program is the only one of its kind in Ontario, designed to prepare students to successfully challenge all TSSA operating engineer exams up to and including the First-Class level of qualification.
The curriculum follows the Standardized Power Engineers Examination Committee (SOPEEC) syllabus, ensuring students are fully prepared to write the TSSA exams for 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st class certification. With comprehensive instruction and expert guidance, we equip students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in this dynamic and rewarding industry.
The TSSA has adopted the following SOPEEC syllabus, which lists the topics that will be covered in the exam and the areas of study to pass at each level, from 4th to 1st class.
Average course duration 4-6 weeks/40-50 hours study time recommended
There are two (2) multiple choice examinations that must be written which is 3 hours in duration.
