    Early Age Development Stages module explores the key stages of development that children experience from birth through early childhood. Understanding how children grow physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively is essential for supporting their individual needs.
    Students will study important milestones and typical behaviors at different ages, gaining the knowledge needed to create nurturing environments where children can thrive.   • Module 4: Ratios and Routines in Childcare Settings (10 Hours)
    Ratios and Routines in Childcare Settings module focuses on the importance of staff-to-child ratios and daily routines in childcare environments. Maintaining appropriate ratios ensures children receive the attention and care they need to feel safe and supported.
    Learners will explore how consistent routines help create a stable and predictable environment, which is key to children’s comfort and development. Understanding these concepts helps childcare providers deliver high-quality care and foster positive experiences for both children and families.

  • Module 5: Dietary, Health, and Safety Requirements (10 Hours)
    Dietary, Health, and Safety Requirements module covers essential knowledge about nutrition, health, and safety practices in childcare settings. Learners will explore dietary guidelines for young children, common health concerns, and ways to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
    A key part of this module is WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification, which equips students with important skills to identify and manage hazardous materials safely, ensuring the well-being of children and staff.
  • Module 6: Observations and Communication Strategies (10 Hours)
    Observations and Communication Strategies modules focus on the skills needed to observe children’s behavior and development accurately, and how to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues. Observation is a key tool in understanding each child’s unique needs and planning appropriate support.
    The module also covers communication techniques that build positive relationships and promote collaboration within early childhood settings.

  • Module 7: Social and Emotional Learning (8 Hours)

  • Module 8: Diverse Needs, Inclusion, and Equality (8 Hours)
    Diverse Needs, Inclusion, and Equality module focuses on understanding and embracing the diverse needs of all children in early learning environments. Learners will explore how to create inclusive settings where every child feels valued, respected, and supported regardless of their background or abilities.

The course covers principles of equality, strategies for adapting learning experiences, and ways to overcome barriers to participation. By fostering inclusion, educators can help all children reach their full potential and promote a sense of belonging.

After completing all modules, students will take a final online quiz made up of 50 multiple-choice questions. This quiz is designed to check your understanding of everything you’ve learned throughout the course. It’s a great way to review the key topics and feel confident about the knowledge you’ve gained. A passing score is required to successfully complete the certificate.

Resume and Cover Letter Assistance
